I know, it sounds funny that a guy that owns dance studios would say this, but check this out. . .
Just after the financial trials many of us went through in 2008 I made some significant changes to my studio businesses that have served me well. We’re much more capable of navigating the issues that cause uncertain financial times.
It’s because we went back to the basics.
We asked ourselves some questions that shouldn’t have been that difficult. Mostly, “what if the way everyone is running their studios isn’t the best way?”
And then we did something even more important. We actually made changes to our own studio based on the hard answers to those questions. We didn’t just wait around and hope everything got better.
“We run leadership training and character development facilities and we just happen to use dance and martial arts as how we deliver that product.”
Maybe the most important realization we came to at that time was that we weren’t really just running martial arts, and dance studios. Here’s the important piece:
We run leadership training and character development facilities and we just happen to use dance and martial arts as how we deliver that product.
That’s a hard message for some studio owners to swallow. Nobody buys dance. Everybody buys the problems that they feel dance (or martial arts, music, or fitness) classes will solve for them. That’s where your marketing and messaging needs to be focused right now!
What problems that they have right now can your studio and your programs help to solve?
How is that really any different than the problems you help to solve for them on a regular basis?
(Maybe there is more immediacy for some people right now, but their needs are still very human. Their problems that you solve are still the same.)
VERY FEW STUDIOS ARE MESSAGING THIS CORRECTLY.
In spite of all of the turmoil and competition for attention in the world right now our studios are doing well. We’re enrolling new students and serving our current students with more value than we ever have before. We have clients that will hit record months this month (yes, even right now).
The time to work ON your studio and not IN your studio is right now.
We’d love to be a part of helping you to do that.
We’ve just opened up a couple of more time slots on the calendar over the next week to talk with a few studio owners that are interested in building their programs aggressively.
Fill out this simple application:
and then you’ll be redirected to our calendar where you can find a call time that’s convenient for you. My staff and I will review your application and then on that call we’ll walk you through the exact steps your studio needs to make sure you’re building your programs while so many of your competitors are just “hunkering down.”
This strategy session call is absolutely free for your studio, and if we feel like your studio is a good fit for one of our coaching programs we might invite you to become a part.
